As Venezuelan Americans, our concerns for Venezuela grow each day. For several years Venezuela, once the richest country in South America, has been plunging toward economic, social and institutional ruin. As the Venezuelan economy deteriorates daily, the people of Venezuela are left struggling to survive - while others are making desperate journeys to leave the country entirely.
What can WE do to help?
As Venezuelans who were forced to flee the country we love, we have joined together to work to restore democracy and human rights, and rebuild the economy. We created the Venezuelan American Alliance (VAA) to help the people in our homeland in their struggle for a stable, democratic, and prosperous Venezuela.

In June 2019, a group of more than 40 concerned Venezuelan Americans met to discuss potential actions. By July 25, 2019 the Venezuelan American Alliance was registered under the laws of the State of Florida.
Our mission is to create awareness of the social, political and economic situation in Venezuela among the United States government and population, to advocate for legislation, regulation and programs to support and promote freedom, democracy and human rights for its population and diaspora, and help regain the road to prosperity.
The VAA will become the strongest link between Venezuelans and Americans, and with the United States government, giving them a clear understanding of the evolution of the political, social and economic environment in Venezuela and its impact on the United States and on the region at large.
